mlb wgn
Every time the Reds or Indians are on TBS, it’s blacked out. I live 3 hours from both cities. So, Why?

I get TBS on basic, while the Reds and Indians networks are on standard cable. I see the Reds whenever they’re on WGN, so why are both teams always blacked out on TBS? Who is responsible? TBS, FoxSports, Sportstime Ohio, MLB or Time-Warner?

I think this should be illegal. I pay for cable and should be able to watch everything I pay for. Why should someone with a vested interest in my watching Fox Sports and STO get to step on what already belongs to me as a cable customer?

This aggression will not stand, man. The Regional sports networks own exclusive rights in your area. Despite what others have said even purchasing an out of market sports package like Direct Tv will not help get around it. If you purchase the MLB.tv package and use a foreign proxy server you can watch every game without blackout restrictions. I agree blackout restrictions are archaic. They came about many years ago and there needs to be changes to how these copy right laws are enforced and this will happen. The archaic copy right laws are to blame.
