OPS: jose bautista leads MLB again with 1.098
Here imo is the stat that is bigger than runs and rbis, its runs created.
Runs Created: jose bautista leads MLB with 130.(agon 114)
Another big stat is offensive win% which bautista leads MLB with .843 ( that means if you had a team with 9 jose bautistas that would be your winning percent).

Jose Batista is indeed the best candidate, either him or Justin Verlander.
I think it’s ridiculous that people will argue that he is somehow less valuable because he plays in Toronto. The award is call “most valuable player” not “the best player on the best team.”
If you take Adrian Gonzolez off of the Red Sox, or Curtis Granderson off of the Yankees, they’re still formidable teams. Bautista, is a large part of the reason that the Jays are as successful as they are.
