Why was there no shots of the locker room celebration of the A’s after winning the 1974 World Series at home?
All of you who had grew up with televised MLB baseball in the 1970s and 1980s during rain delays had been entertained by the Major League Baseball’s vintage film about the hot Oakland A’s in the 1974 World Series, where Rollie Fingers, the pitcher, was MVP. The final-out scene where the A’s got the championship at Oakland Coliseum shows the celebration in and around the pitcher’s mound and a big fireworks display going above the stadium. But no locker room celebration shots! Ironic, isn’t it?
They wanted the clubhouse celebration private.
