Would an NFL team be successful in Utah?

why or why not? and lets keep in mind that utah was 5th in attendance this season out of 32 NBA teams.
also….would an MLB team be successful?

I like to look at the success of the local universities in football to see if a community is likely to be able to support an NFL team. So: Portland, no, Oregon can barely support the Ducks and Beavers, and their stadiums together only seat 80,000. So: Las Vegas, no, UNLV sells out constantly for basketball, but their football team has problems filling Sam Boyd Stadium for BCS schools, much less the WAC, and Boyd Stadium only seats 36,000 for football.

Utah? They probably could. BYU and Utah both have near NFL quality stadiums, and regularly sell them out. So there seems to be a much stronger football fan base than in Portland or Vegas. But if they don’t have a dome, I don’t know how much fun it would be to play in Salt Lake in December….

Baseball in Utah? Baseball is more like basketball because there are lots of regular season games, and the Jazz are very successful in Salt Lake. And they would have a pretty large area to draw fans from. So, I think baseball might work there as well.
