Let’s try this one more time?
I asked about umpires in red shirts. Initially, I was told the mlb umpires have only worn blue. I asked again, at a much different time, and somebody said they remembered red jackets for three years in the 70′s. I found video during a 1974 A’s game that backs that up.

I recall umpires in “bright” red shirts for some amount of time, maybe during the 80′s.
Can anyone confirm this?
