Anyone else think the fine on Brian Wilson’s cleats is completely absurd?
MLB fined Brian Wilson for wearing orange cleats. So, MLB mishandles the steroid era, they allow umpires to continue their job even after horrid and obviously biased calls, they don’t enact a salary cap, but they fine a closer for wearing orange cleats which, by the way, MATCH THE DAMN UNIFORM. I know this really isn’t a big deal, but isn’t there something else MLB could be doing right now instead of worrying about some guy’s shoes?
Why are the batters looking at the pitcher’s shoes? Aren’t you supposed to watch the ball? And what about white uniforms? Should we stop wearing white uniforms because they may hide the ball too much?

There are much bigger issues going on in baseball and they are worrying about cleats?.
Something’s wrong with that. There are some people who can get away with much worser things, and yet they decide to fine someone… over cleats?. Cmon that’s so stupid. And youre supposed to be looking at the pitch?. Not at the damn cleats!. Give me a break.
Stupid fines like that are the many reasons that are wrong with baseball today..
I can understand if the cleats are too bright, but if the cleats are fine. Then why fine him?
