MLB & NBA LEAD CHANGES?
I am interested in studying lead changes within the MLB, however I am unsure of where data is available for this analysis. How many lead changes are in an average MLB game? What percentage of games have at least 1 lead change? what are the offs of a team coming back from being down 3 runs after the 6th inning?
I am also looking for data or information concerning lead changes within the NBA. What percentage of games include a lead change? What is the average number of lead changes in an NBA game?
I am wondering where the information comes from when an announcer says ‘This team has only come back from this deficit (15 points) three times in its history with less than 9 minutes remaining in the game’.
I am curious how often a team comes back from more than 12 points in the fourth quarter along with how often a team comes back from being down more than ten points at half time. Any help would be very much appreciated.
