Odd MLB Saturday schedule?
Anyone know why the schedule makers have 8 games at 3 p.m. central and only 3 night games on a Saturday. I’ve never seen anything like this before. Saturday always the majority of their games at night. Anyone know why they did this?
Its because FOX broadcasts in prime time the next 3 Saturdays, so in order to televise
into their own markets the teams have to have afternoon games.
FOX has the Yankees at 7PM in NY, and the Mets are on Channel 11 from Houston
at 4PM. The Mets rarely have a 4PM game on Saturday unless they are at home
and the game has been moved to that time by FOX.
