Why do the Yankees have so many fans that don’t follow MLB?
I am from NY but travel all over the country and see people with Yankees hats that can’t even name 1 player on the team..
I even asked one guy when i was in Idaho that was wearing a yankees hat if he was also from NY and he said he had never even been there but that he liked them because they are champions(lol)
So basically the same fake people would be wearing Orioles hats if they were champions..
Why do they have so many fake fans?
In the world people like to be behind a winner so who ever the winner is people are going to cheer for them even if they do not know what they are cheer for or at. You are correct no mater what teams are the domonite winner fake fans will be wearing there gear. Just like in basketball many people are wearing around Lakers gear, knowing they could not piont out where the lakers home court was standing in front of it. ANother example would be I have be a Miami heat fan for 10 years of 1 championship and the rest lossing seasons and hate to see now be cause THE BIG THREE are in miam jump and say the are heat fans.
