What are your MLB Playoff predictions at this point?
I’m interested to see what your playoff predictions are. In each league, the two division winners with the best record get homefield advantage for the first round. The 3rd division winner or the wild card with the worst record will play the team in the league with the best record. Here’s my picks:
NLDS
Philadelphia over Pittsburgh
Atlanta over San Francisco
ALDS
Yankees over Indians
Rangers over Red Sox
NLCS
Atlanta over Philadelphia
ALCS
Yankees over Rangers
World Series
Braves over Yankees
1. Fox will infest the schedule with superfluous off-days.
2. Fox will infest the lower decks with many of the C-list actors who appear in various Fox shows.
3. Joe Buck will blather on about said C-list celebrity actors incessantly.
4. This will be the highlight of Buck’s on-air ineptitude, because he doesn’t give a hang about the game on the field, and it shows.
5. Fox will continue its audial assault upon baseball fans by putting Buck and McCarver in the booth, and using laser-blast effects repeatedly.
6. Whichever is the most popular team by ratings (rankings: 1. Yankees 2. Red Sox 3. everyone else) will get the primetime slots.
7. The AL team will win the World Series, regardless of that whole HOME FIELD YAAAAAYYYYY!!!!! brouhaha.
