Mlb Network Jobs
October 26th, 2009
Anybody know how one would become a camera operator at an MLB game?
i’ve got a broadcasting degree and am interested in maybe finding a job running a camera at MLB games. is that union work? Must you work for the ballpark…are they employees of the network airing that particular game? i can’t seem to find much information on the subject and don’t know where else to ask. this question is for both handheld and stationary cameras at the game. any infor would be quite helpful. thanks,
They are employees of the broadcasting company and are usually union gigs. A low tech way to learn more is go ask an operator before the game what is involved in their job.
