In MLB, do post-season stats count for batting titles?
As a Braves fan, I’m rooting for Chipper Jones to win the NL batting title (highest batting average). If players such as Chase Utley & Matt Holliday get hits in the playoffs (if the Phillies or Rockies make the play-offs), will they count towards the National League batting title race? Thanks.
No they don’t. If they did it would not be fair to the players on teams that did not make it to the postseason.
