when i play ps3 on bigger tv the timing seems off?
when im playing my ps3 on a 46 inch HDTV LCD the timing seems off while im playing games. for example when im playing MLB the show 10 there seems to be half second difference from when i push to swing and when it swings, could it be because i need to calibrate something? please help! its very frustrating!!
Some TVs have what is called a Game mode, or a Game option in the settings.
If you have this option on your TV, then you need to put the TV on this setting to help sync the TV signal with the image. The TV is causing a delay. If you do not have this setting on your TV, then you will need to read the Owner’s Manual or find it online to see if there is a way to change the image delay on the TV.
The other thing you will need to do is make sure the Refresh Rating (60Hz) and Resolution are set up properly on the PS3. The easiest way to set the PS3 up to the TV is to do a Video Reset.
How to do a Video Reset: With the PS3 in stand by mode (red light on front of the PS3), hold the power button down until you hear two beeps (about 5 seconds). The PS3 will turn on and automatically reset giving you the best settings for the type of TV and cable being used.
Changing the TV to it’s “Game” setting (if it has one) and doing the Video Reset should sync your image on the TV.
Do the Video Reset first. If that doesn’t work, then you will need to go into the TV settings.
