mlb hit streak record
Which of these MLB records has the best chance of being broken?Which one will never be broken?

1.Cy Young’s 511 career wins
2.Joe Dimaggio’s 56 game hit streak
3.Ricky Henderson’s 130 stolen bases in a season
4.Cal Ripken’s 2,632 consecutive games played
5.Eric Gange 84 cinsecutive saves
6.Barry Bonds 73 HR season
7.Nolan Ryan’s 5,714 strike outs

I’d say Cy Young’s 511 career wins. Now with the 5-man rotation and how pitch counts are monitored much more, plenty more no decisions are put into play. Generally a pitcher will start between 32-34 games a year, and will get a decision in maybe 25 of those. Do the math, if they won ALL of those decisions in a 20-year career. That would only be 500 wins.

In a time where 300 wins may even seem unreachable from this point forward, it’s pretty safe to say that 511 career wins won’t be touched.
