Mlb Greatest Games Video
Who is the best catcher, defensively (in terms of calling the most strike-outs), in the MLB?
More specifically, in the video game MLB09. I need to find a catcher who is great at calling pitches and, therefore, strike-outs – his being good at batting or throwing runners out is not as important to me.
Ideas that have been tossed around are Carlos Ruiz, Yadier Molina, and Ivan Rodriguez. Any other suggestions?

Well the top 3 catchers all-time at catching strikeouts are…
1. Ivan Rodriguez – 12,872 (and counting)
2. Gary Carter – 10,776
3. Bob Boone – 10,441
So obviously Pudge is the best option but if not him, I would say Yadier Molina, Bengie Molina, or Jason Varitek (knows how to control his pitchers as good as anyone).
