Why were the bills of MLB caps green back in the 80s and 90s?
This is something I’ve always wondered as a kid. Does it have something to do with the reflection of the green grass? That sounds stupid, but I really don’t see any reason for it! I know the league switched to gray, and now they’ve gone to black, but was there any logic or reasoning behind the green?
please take the effort to look at caps from the 80s and 90s from teams like the Mets, Tigers, Braves, Expos, Marlins, Dodgers, Pirates, etc. I know for a fact their bills were green on the underside. those ALL have bills that are green on the underside.
I dont know the answer, but he is talking about the underside of the bill.
