When will the MLB finally get 2 more teams?
I know we’re all concerned about the quality of pitching, but with the rising population, I’m not too worried about a lack of good curve balls in the future. Having 2 more teams in the National League seems a bit off balance and odd. I propose the following cities: (I): Louisville (definitely!), Portland, Vancouver, and Brooklyn. I’m probably missing some of the more glaring gaps, but I like these locations. That, or, move the Dodgers to the American League to garner some buzz around LA to help the Dodgers nightmarish financial reality. What say you? And what team names would you suggest?

- Portalnd couldn’t support the AAA team it had
- Vancouver – too close to Seattle
- Brooklyn – no 3rd team in NYC area
- Montreal – had it’s chance
- Mexico City – drugs, drugs, drugs and economy
- San Juan – not till Puerto Rico becomes a state
- Louisville – metro area isn’t large enough to support a MLB team
- Las Vegas – gambling industry has deterred MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL
- Dodgers move to AL – short term buzz
Team names? – names for non-existent teams do not mean anything. When a new team is formed, name is chosen by owners and fan polls.
