Primes are usually based on when a player joins the MLB (for example if there’s a MLB rookie who’s 28 and another who’s 23 then the 28 year olds prime will come sooner than the 23 year olds) The average prime age is 27 to 33 and some players are what you would call workhorses or gems because they can comtinue to perform very well throught nearly their whole MLB careers.
