i am one of the best shortstops in my highschool and i used to sit in my backyard with a pitchback and stand a few feet from it no glove just throwing it and catching it at a faast pace this will increase your hand eye coordination and your speed hitting is just good old fashion time spent in the batting cage and another thing that can help your fielding is a ball called a reaction ball they are a few dollars and it is a little bouncy ball that gives you an irregular bounce just roll it back and forth with someone in your drive way and a key to hitting is practice with a wooden bat trust me it helped me a ton and i am on varsity as a sophmore
