Catcher Buster Posey seriously injured during collision, should the Giants have him change posistions?

The main reason a catcher is moved late in his career to another position is to keep their bat in the lineup. If a catcher is a really a good offensive player that’s a total bonus to the team.
Buster batted .305 last year, and was only batting .284 right now this season. At this time he is more valuable to the giants behind the plate. Putting him at 1st (typical the position of choice from a former catcher) could do more damage long term than good. The old saying is to “drive in more than you let in” and at first he may be letting in (more runs) than he is driving in.
