Mlb Citations

Can anyone tell me, with appropriate citation, the length of the longest home run hit in MLB?

In my own research, I’ve uncovered nothing but dispute on this question. There are claims involving homers hit in spring training, homers that rolled to a stop, homers that might have gone further if the arc of their landing hadn’t been interrupted, etc. I would like a single, simple answer. Many, many thanks.

There *is* nothing but dispute. Both of Mantle’s “records” are regarded as spurious. The literal truth is that there is no way of knowing.
