Design Your All-Time Best 1990′s MLB starting line-up…?
If you had to put a line up together from the greatest players of the 1990′s, who would you chose? Take steroids out of the picture because yes, everyone (or almost all of the best guys) were on them since the late 80′s. So what starting lineup would you put out for 1 game vs. the MLB’s previous legends? (I consider a 2 year stint good enough to call the player a 90′s great, like Pedro Martinez)
Pitcher: Greg Maddux (also considered Pedro and Roger Clemens)
Catcher: Mike Piazza
1st Base: Mark McGwire (considered Don Mattingly)
2nd Base: Edgardo Alfonzo
3rd Base: Cal Ripken Jr.
Shortstop: Alex Rodriguez (considered Jeter and Nomar G. as well)
Left Field: Barry Bonds
Center Field: Griffery Jr. (still remains my favorite player. I was born in 1988 and haven’t seen a better swing in baseball or a better player and role model.)
Right Field: Tony Gwynn (also considered Sammy Sosa)
DH: Juan Gonzales
