MLB Keeper H2H – pick 2 between Ichiro, Sandoval, Zimmerman, Carpenter?
We keep 6 in a 16-cat league (5 hitting cats + K, FPCT, OPS; 5 pitching cats + HLD, K/BB, K/9).
I’m planning on keeping:
SS Troy Tulowitzki
SP Tim Lincecum
OF Carl Crawford
1B Kendry Morales
That leaves me w/at least 4 players, of which I need to pick 2:
OF Ichiro
1B/3B Pablo Sandoval
3B Ryan Zimmerman
SP Chris Carpenter
Suggestions?
I’ve also got these players from last yr from which to choose, but think I’ve already decided to let them go:
SS Derek Jeter (Tulo is too good here)
2B Brandon Phillips
2B Dan Uggla (think I could get one of the two in the 1st round, if necessary)

Ichiro – along with CC, you would win SB every week, but he is old and plays for a team with a struggling offense. In a six keeper league I’d prefer youth plus OF has plenty of high level replacements.
Panda – multi-position eligibility plus youth plus good stat line = must.
Zim – 3B is so shallow this year I wouldn’t throw a good one back.
Carpenter – You need another SP, Lincecum is an injury waiting to happen with that jerky delivery.
In your position I would keep Panda, Zim, and Carpenter. Throw back Morales. His stat line might be better than some others, but you will be able to draft a suitable replacement 1B because there are so many good ones this year. If you do that you can use your extra 3B to trade for a premium SP+ when someone in your league gets desperate early.
