Mlb Baseball Teams Wiki

In the even an MLB team would move to Charlotte,NC, could a baseball..?
field be constructed in Bank of America stadium for the team to play in while they built a new baseball stadium?
Remember, the Dodgers played in the LA Colisseum for 4 seasons while they built Dodger Stadium.

If I remember correctly, North Carolina did put in a bid for an MLB expansion team many years ago (before franchises were eventually awarded to Colorado, Arizona, Tampa and Miami).
I’m not sure if it was Charlotte, but I do know that each city was required to present a fully-functional, “move-in ready” stadium as part of their bid. The one that sticks out in my mind was Denver’s bid to have Mile High Stadium converted for baseball.
My point is that if Charlotte did put in a bid, then their Stadium plan must be out there on record somewhere.
As for BofA or Ericcson or whatever…I’m not sure if that stadium could be converted. As one of the newer stadiums, it uses much steeper deck angles to fit s large number of seats into a “footprint” smaller than the big “bowl” stadiums of the 60s and 70s. Because of this, I don’t think there would be enough room to configure it for baseball.
I’m guessing if Charlotte did put in a bit, it would involve expanding the seating at Knights’ Stadium.
