Mlb Baseball Teams Hotels
What is involved in getting MLB teams ready to play “away” games?
Do the players take a bus, a plane, their own vehicles (car, tour bus, jet)? Is there a van that hauls the bats, the uniforms, the helmets, etc.? Do the teams bring their own bat boys or do they use local kids? Do the players stay in any old hotel or is there a special place for visiting teams to stay the night? I just always wondered what kind of life a pro baseball player leads.
It depends on the location of the game where they are going. If the location is a short distance from where they play, they will take a bus together or perhaps take their own cars or go in taxis. If the distance to the location is far then they will take a team plane. There should be space for equipment and uniforms inside the plane/bus. Bat and ball boys/girls are only used when the team is at home. When they go on the road the host team provides them with bat and ball boys/girls. The teams usually get to stay in at least somewhat fancy hotels.
