What are your predictions for the 2011 MLB Rookie of the Year winners?
There is many rookies who got called up and performed exceptionally, but who do you think has been the best in the AL and NL, and win the award?
I’m not so sure about NL, but for AL I would definitely vote for Dustin Ackley. He is putting up great numbers at the plate so far. His defense needs work, but not many rookies are known for their gloves their first year in the majors.
Oh, I forgot about Freeman, he is having a great year.
I like Mark Trumbo as well, but I don’t think Pineda will get it — too shaky, plus, he has the Mariner’s offense behind him.
AL: Definetly Trumbo. Not alot of rookies are on pace for 35-40 homers. He’s also on a shaky team that doesn’t have alot of guys who get on base every single time they step on to bat for Trumbo to drive in.
NL: Craig Kimbrel. Dude’s on my fantasy team and rackin’ up mad numbers. There has been no rookie ever to save 50+ games in a year. He is on pace for that.
