How come there are no MLB players on the 2008 Olympic team?
Is there a rule that band active MBL playres to play the Olympic? like the old band on NBA players in the past.
I saw the current team USA roster, and there are 14 players from AAA, 7 from AA, and 1 from A. No MLB players.
I wish to see a baseball Dream team one day. IF they still play baseball in the future Olympics.
I think that MLB players are playing for their perspective teams since the baseball season coinsides with the Olympics.. First they have an obligation due to their contract, so if a team if paying millions of dollars, do you really think playing in the Olympics would be a good idea. Thats why they have the World Baseball Classic, where MLB players play for their countries. The schedule does not interupt with the regular baseball season. The last one was in 2006 and Japan won the whole thing
