Who should be/ Who do you want to be the Cover Athlete of MLB 2k11?
I think it should be Brian Wilson this year here’s a top 7 list of Players I’d like too see on the Cover
7. David Ortiz/ Mike Lowell (BOS)
6. Jayson Heyward/ Brian McCann (ATL)
5. Joey Votto/ Scott Rolen (CIN)
4. CC Sabathia/ A-Rod (NYY) or Cliff Lee/ Arod (If Lee goes to Yankees)
3. Roy Halladay/ Roy Oswalt (PHI) OR Roy Halladay/ Cliff Lee (if Lee goes to Philadelphia)
2. Josh Hamilton/ CJ Wilson (TEX) or Cliff Lee/ Josh Hamilton (if Lee Stays)
1. Brian Wilson/ Buster Posey (SF) or Brian Wilson/ Cody Ross or Buster Posey/ Cody Ross
Thoughts?
Mike Lowell and Big Papi were the stars of their team, but since they didn’t make the playoffs, they will definetly not be on the cover. Heyward is a possibility with his breakout rookie season. McCann will probably not be due to the fact that he was not consistent all year long. Votto is possible because he was in the quest for the triple crown. CC or A-rod won’t be because they didn’t make it to the World Series. Cliff Lee won’t be on the cover as a Yankee or as a Ranger because they didn’t win and Lee wasn’t dominant throughout the season.. Roy Halladay is a serious possibility due to the fact he threw a no hitter and a perfect game. Oswalt will not be because he has been overshadowed by Halladay since he came to Philly. Hamilton is a possibiltiy because he was a contender in the triple crown. Brian Wilson is a possibility because he was basically untouchable in the postseason. Buster Posey would be a good idea because he was a rookie catcher who won the World Series. I would love to see Cody Ross on the front cover, but I doubt he will be with all of these other contenders. He had a great postseason, no doubt, its just he wasn’t on the national scale all year due to the fact that nobody shows any respect for the Marlins.
So out of the people you mentioned above I think Halladay will be on the cover because of his complete dominance throught the entire season and part of the postseason.
