Did I break my MLB 2k11 Franchise mode?
I was playing MLB 2k11 in a Franchise game with my Cincinnati Reds. And I turned off the xbox in the middle of the game. Now when I turned the xbox back on, whenever I would try to access my Franchise mode it doesn’t work and it says that part of my hard drive is unreadable. Is there anyway to fix this?
It sounds like the file has become corrupt. This usually happens when a game is saving and the system is shutoff, which is why most games warn you not to shut off the counsel during a save. However if you were in the middle of a game, this doesn’t seem like it is the situation. It is possible for a save data to just become corrupt but its unlikely. Its usually a warning that your HDD may be going bad.
I advise you back up all of you game saves for your xbox if possible and contact Microsoft about receiving a new HDD if it’s still under warranty. If not, I would just keep backing up your data periodically until it dies out, and then buy a new one.
Under my knowledge, it’s impossible to recover the corrupt file. If it is possible I’m sure its extremely hard. Doing some research on some hacker forums might be able to help you if it is possible, but it may not be worth it.
