Mlb 2k11 Base Stealing

How do you steal in MLB 2k11?
I have been playing the game for like 3 days now and it always bothers me that I cannot steal. I have read the instructions and they just say hold the advance base button. I have tried this but every time I do the controller vibrates and the pitcher picks me off going to second before he even pitches. This is getting annoying. Any controls on how to steal? Thx
Hold in the right trigger after you lead off. Then when the pitcher starts to make his motion to pitch to the batter let go of the right trigger and they will steal. You have to time it right for it to work.
