Major League Baseball Records
There are a lot of records in major league baseball that will be broken but?
the one I think will never happen is Johnny Vandermeers back-to-back no-hitters, your thoughts? Hmmm?
I can not imagine that happening again…it is such a rare thing that there is no way to predict that it would happen and what type of pitcher would be able to do it. I think that there are so many old pitching records that will never be touched again because the changes in the game, ERA is higher now because the game is slanted more to the hitters advantage, wins…pitchers do not pitch as much as they once did, innings pitched because of the specialization. The only way to see that happen again would be if they raised the mound back up so that the pitchers had a little more of an advantage…but runs are sexy when selling the sport so that will not happen.
