Major League Baseball life?
i really love the Kansas City Royals and have always been curious about their life! .. i mean not in a weird way! i was wondering do they buy a house during the season if they don’t live in the city they play for or stay at a hotel? also, do they get jobs during the off season? i’m just curious, and if you know any other fun facts..tell me!
League minimum is approx. 400,000 and you make this for around 3 or 4 years until you can negotiate a larger contract. No need for a off-season job. And with this kind of income you can afford to have a home in the city you play in and in the city you call home, which is what people do. I have a friend who plays for the Cardinals so he has told me a lot about MLB. For instance while the money is amazing and the “fame” is cool, it is hard to settle down and meet a wife, have kids a lead a normal life. Your away playing from april to october constantly flying away from your family if you do have one, and then your home from november to Feb. Not much time. And oh you…can get traded at any time and just have to get up and move.
Fun Fact…Do you know major league players have to pay for the tickets they leave for family and friends?!?! That shocked me.
