i am 14 years old and this year i will be a freshman. i know it s a little early to look at colleges but i would like to go to dartmouth or another ivy league school. i plan to apply as a minority, as i am of mexican heritage
so my real question is how can i make my self look better in the eyes of those who will grant me acception.
i would like to know what extra curicular things i should do
what classes i should take
and so on
i have always been a good student and i plan to put great focus into the 4 years to come
i will play football and either golf or baseball
what else do u recommend i try
and how can i get a scholar ship
1. make your college decisions a little later once you’ve matured and experienced at least two years of high school.
2. if you want to make yourself look better, don’t lead off with your minority status. lead off with what you can contribute.
3. take the best, toughest courses your school has to offer
4. golf and tennis are better sports for a young person than football because you can use them profitably when you are older for networking
5. you get a scholarship by being good enough to get a scholarship.
