Little League Baseball Fence
How are MLB players able to hit pitches that are at blazing speeds?
I mean seriously, I know that they work out like crazy by doing weights and they work on bat speed and all, but really – the ball is coming @ 90 – 100 mph! How do they even make contact with the ball let alone hit these balls over the fences with ease like Pujols, Ryan Howard, Buster Posey??? They’re amazing athletes, but how do these guys do it??
Bonus Question:
How are 13 year olds in Little League Baseball able to hit 70 – 80 mph pitches. These guys don’t have the build of a pro MLB player, and yet I see them on T.V able to drive these pitches real deep. I know they use metal bats but how do they make contact with the ball let alone drive them over the fence??
Baseball is a game that just awes me.
That is why some of the best make $20 million per year.
There are so many reasons, but my short answer would be unbelievable hand, eye coordination and tremendous bat speed.
Remember that Ted Williams said the hardest thing to do in sports is hitting a round ball with a round bat.
