Little League Baseball Ethics
Any advice for me? I need some good advice and tips.?
I am going to be playing orgnanized baseball for the first time since I was in little league but I aonly played 2 games and I scored a run in my second game. I am a athlete. I have very good speed-quickness, I am short in height but I play with my height and I have a good work ethic. I have been playing basketball, football and running track for so long I want to try baseball. I can catch but I have never really put on a glove and tried to catch a baseball. I know its not hard and I want to play outfield as well so I can run balls down. I want to be good so I can have an option to play baseball in college as well as football and basketball. I am a junior but I think in 2 years with just hard work and faith I can make it. Any advice or tips.
I meant to say I play with my heart.
oh yeah. baseball is easy in some ways but harder in other ways. since you’re quick, you should work on being lead off batter: dont swing for homeruns, but keep the ball down and beet out the throw to first. try bunting as well, work on that. outfield is a very important position in high school and college. you need a strong arm, so throw long toss as much as you can, that’s when you throw as far as you can in a straight line, not a rainbow. one good year of doing that and you should be good. work on fly balls and ground balls. the worst thing an outfielder can do is let one get passed him. aslo work on hitting the target when you throw. you need to get the ball in quick and need a nice trow on the spot. as for batting, go hit up the cages and work on contact. try to hit the ball with the sweet spot (barrel of bat) and find a batting stand that you feel comfortable in. if you give it all, you’ll be fine in two years. don’t quit!!
