Little League Baseball Dozen
Wasn’t Obama wrong when he was making his “We are The United States of America speech?”?
He said that we have gay friends in red states and that we coach little league in blue states as well. The first part I agree with, but the second part is not exactly right. Baseball is much more played in blue states than red states. All the top teams are from a blue state, with the exception of the Cardinal. The streets of New York with all the Irish and Italian immigrants was where baseball bloomed. Now, New Jersey has the best travel teams in the country. Not necessarily LLWS worthy, but definitely good teams! Baseball boarding academies are here by the dozens. Wouldn’t the better statement be “We coach Pop Warner in Blue States?”
Somehow, I cannot imagine a good liberal baseball player, except for the butch supreme court nominee.
