Latest Baseball Scores Standings
Sandbox fantasy points league?
I’ve done fantasy baseball for 6 years all on Yahoo. I’m not in my first Sandbox league – with fantasy points scoring – and I’m still trying to figure it out. Looking at last year’s standings, and this year’s projections it appears that pitching is the most valuable thing in this format. Do I change my style to adjust to this? (ie: Putz is a projected top 10 player, do I take him in the late 2nd round if he’s there, or do I play it like normal, waiting ’til about the 5th round [like I would on Yahoo]?).
Any and all advice pertaining to this and anything else would be solid!
I would wait.
The hitting is really the biggest thing going on now in fantasy sports. Out of the top 20 players, 2 of them are pitchers, and they are both Santana and Peavy who had great years this past one. Even guys like CC (who won the CY young) are ranked really low.
The hitting is going to dominate this year, and I would stick with that trend. I believe Beckett is in the 30′s along with Oswalt and others.
I would draft Putz in the 5th round at the earliest. The closer isn’t a huge situation, but its still a big one none the less.
