Am I watching HD or Digital?
I have a HDTV (Sharp) and Comcast Digital Cable. I can receive local channels like 2.1 for Fox, 5.1 for CBS, and 7.1 for ABC. The pictures are very clear, especially for sports and original programming. But I do wonder whether I am really watching HD or Digital TV. In another word, if I get the HD package (that come with a HD Receiver), will these channels be better than what I am getting now?
if you are watching a HD program they usually have a HD logo or icon on the screen somewhere. If there isn’t it could mean that it is just digital or SD (standard definition).
HD is reasonably better than SD
