Do the Japanese have local softball or baseball teams?
Like a men’s league or something like that? Do they just do softball like in the US, or do they play actual baseball? I’m moving over there soon and would love to join one, so I was curious what to expect.
Balls are mainly played by females in Japan. The most acclaimed ball player in Japan so far is 阿部定(Abe Sada). Sometimes it is played by males too, but for men, it is not the most popular thing to sport.
