baseball spring training ballparks
We have parked cars in our yards for years, now city says no. How can we continue?

We live directly across from a spring training baseball field. Pros are that we can make some extra money($5/car, same as ballpark) the cons are dealing with the traffic. Once it took 1hr30min to go the last 4 blks to my house, then they said street was closed, and I had to fight with a cop to be allowed down. We obey the rules and move people off street quickly, we don’t stop traffic, and have NEVER had any problems. I’ve heard they have new people running the stadium, which seats 12,500 and uses two soccer fields and a concrete parking lot. For most of the games every spot everywhere is full, including our street(maybe 10 houses), and a few houses in front of field. An economic impact study in 2004 reported the fans that come to this city to go to this stadium leave $20 million in the ciies economy. So how do the few dollars we make hurt the city? Game 3 of 16 is tomorrow, so we don’t have much time? People do this in cities everywhere — how?

Go to your city and get a legal permit to park the cars, most car parking permits you pay very low taxes on. 1995 I worked at a garage right behind Fenway Park that has over 400 spots and the permit from the city of boston was less than 1000 dollars so Im sure a permit where your at would be in the low hundreds
