White bead necklaces worn by baseball players?
What is with the white bead necklaces I have seen on baseball players? Cabrera had one on last night and I swear Big Popi wore one last year. I get the gold chain but white beads?
It doesn’t “bother” me I’m just curious.
Here’s the explanation from “The Plain Dealer”, Cleveland’s newspaper:
“No, that’s not a pearl necklace that second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera wears. It’s a necklace of beads that his wife, Lismar, made for him.
They were married in December in Venezuela. “It’s good luck for me,” said Cabrera.”
