Diamondbacks fans: When are you going to start showing up to the ballpark to support your team?

I am just getting back from Saturday night’s game, completely disgusted with the herds of Boston fans that showed up. I drove from Tucson to see this exciting interleague match-up. Do you know how hard it is to hear more than half the crowd roar when the Red Sox reliever jogs onto the mound in a save situation? Or how annoying it is to put up with the “Let’s Go Red Sox” chant when they get runners on base. Or even worse, to hear your own pitcher and catcher get booed fiercely when they have a quick conference. You have a playoff contending team in the middle of the best division race in baseball, in the middle of the nation’s sixth largest city. This is not okay! Step up and be the baseball city that you are! Don’t let your team feel like they’re playing on the road when they’re in their own ballpark. Don’t make it so easy for all these Red Sox scum, or any other American League wannabes, to get a hold of so many tickets! You with me? (AZ fans, don’t leave me hanging!)

You know something, you raise a good point, I am not an Arizona fan and didn’t believe what you were saying to be true, but it is. Arizona fans have a beautiful stadium and a winning team with a good shot at the playoffs, But your attendance ranks 20th out of 30 MBL teams. Last year was even worse at 24th out of 30 teams. So I am going to ask the same question as you, “what’s going on in Arizona with not supporting your team?” many other cities would love to have them.
