Baseball Games Online Tournaments
Now that the D.R. is elimin8d, should they brood in their sorrow or concentr8 on spring trainin’?
Even w/o cable or satellite TV, I have followed this international tournament online & filled out one or two baseball scorecards. But while the Dominican Republic failing 2 advance to the 2nd round is shockin’, I ain’t sure if it’s more important 4 them 2 wallow in their shame or immediately concentr8 on spring training. I think for fans on their half of Hispaniola, they have their right 2 b upset. But for the big leaguers, I’m pragmatically thinking that they now have a few less games 2 play & perhaps get on the next plane to AZ or FL. & I can c that the Dominican roster is mostly major leaguers. & the same can be said for other teams eliminated in the WBC, like I guess Canada & China. So if your favourite player or perhaps a guy you’ll pick on your fantasy team is Dominican, are you relieved &/or pleased that they’re playing less games in the West Indies?
Neither. It really doesn’t matter to me. If a player is out of the WBC, they’ll come back and play in spring training. If they’re still in the WBC then cool. Either way they’re getting some workouts and getting some practice in.
