Baseball Game We Pitch

Question about baseball game seating!?
my dad is throwing the opening pitch at a MLB game and so we got box seat tickets. He also had some extras, that weren’t box seat, and i asked if my boyfriend could come. He has a ticket for somewhere else but my dad said that it won’t be crowded so we can sit together.
Is this going to work or will we end up watching the game separate? that would be dumb.
The ticket gets him in the park. If there are no spare seats near your good box ones, the two of you could move to somewhere else where you can sit together.
