baseball game vancouver
Do you think Canada could support another MLB team?

I think so. MLB has one Canadian city, Toronto, which does fairly well on the field and financially. Heck, if they weren’t in the AL East, they would probably be defending division champions. Since the departure of Montreal, I think Canada could really use another team. That way, the singing of ‘Oh, Canada!’ at the All Star Game would hold even more meaning. The great country deserves more representation.

Vancouver, in my mind, should get the team. It is one of the biggest cities and has a decent market. A Vancouver team would create two natural rivalries, one with Seattle, and one with Toronto (which means more $$$).

However, in order to keep the # of teams an even number, another team would need to be made. Put it Portland, Oregon and the Northwest would be one of the most baseball-rich regions on the continent.

They failed with the Expos…

they’re not getting another chance.

Good luck with the Blue Jays.

The Benchwarmers

Credit The Benchwarmers for achieving the impossible: It makes the 2005 remake of The Bad News Bears look like a masterpiece. They’re essentially the same film, with the same lowbrow PG-13 humor (mostly involving bodily functions, broad slapstick, little people, nerds, geeks, and nose-picking), but this baseball comedy earns a few brownie points for its heart-warming message about including non-a…

At the opening of every season, she attaches herself to a promising rookie and guides him through the season. Unfortunately, the player she bestows her f…
