Baseball Cards Legends

IF you could construct the perfect baseball team all-time players who would it be?
I want you to construct the perfect baseball team position by position. I don’t want a lineup with 7 power hitters. I want speed, fielding, power, pitching. I also want you lineup card and the order of your pitching rotation, good luck and the person who gives me the best on field team gets best answer. Remember that just give me 9 legends that may have no onfield chemistry.
C
1B
2B
SS
3B
OF
OF
OF
DH
5 STARTERS
3 MIDDLE RELIEF
1 CLOSER
2 BENCH PLAYERS (THE BENCH PLAYER HAVE TO BE GUYS THAT ACTUALLY RODE THE BENCH, YOU CAN’T HAVE BABE RUTH AS YOUR BENCH PLAYER)
So the Chase Utley guy has proven himself to be an idiot. He just picks some random legends and the rest of the players are the current Phillies.
BJ NOT A BAD TEAM, BUT YOU CAN USE ALL-TIME PLAYERS AND YOU STILL CHOOSE GUYS FROM TODAY.
I’ll do it like a lineup card and keep it to players after say 1950. All that 1800′s, real early 1900s is boring.. also no roid users or suspected roid users allowed.
1. OF – Rickey Henderson (greatest leadoff hitter ever)
2. 1B – Pete Rose (imagine ricky on, taking 2nd, with Pete up)
3. OF – Willie Mays (gives you EVERYTHING.)
4. DH – Hank Aaron (power)
5. OF – Mickey Mantle (was one of the greats even with bum knees, imagine without…)
6. 3B – Mike Schmidt (best 3B ever.)
7. 2B – Rod Carew (very underrated, a great contact hitter)
8. SS – Ozzie Smith (greatest infielder ever)
9. C – Johnny Bench (greatest defensive catcher ever, clutch player and leader)
I’d say thats a decent mix of pure hitting, middle-lineup power, great fielding, etc.
5 Starters (Again, after 1950) (Will get a good mix of Lefty/Righty here)
RHP – Sandy Koufax
RHP – Bob Gibson
LHP – Steve Carlton
LHP – Randy Johnson
RHP – Greg Maddux
Middle Relievers
P – Rollie Fingers
P – Bruce Sutter
P – Dennis Eckersley
Closer – Mariano Rivera
Bench: Lenny Harris (all-time pinch hit leader), Manny Mota
