Don’t you think football must disappear?

No sports make more injury than football, and injury in other sports like soccer, baseball, basketball is less frequent and serious than in football. Players who were injured in other sports can come back after while, but injured football players hardly ever come back. If you get injured in a football match, your career as a football player is almost over. I never saw anyone who came back from injury and showed the same form and similar stats before the injury. 300 lbs defender tackles 180 lbs quarterback? It is almost an assault. Football is too violent and dangerous. Football must disappear in America.

No. Violence in sports is a part of the nature of it. If you really want to make that argument what about Hockey? How about boxing? Boxing is a sport that is surely violent because the object of the game is to knock your opponent out leaving them senseless. Or what about kick boxing? The point is, violence in sports is nothing new. The players that sign up for football all know the risks. They know it before they decide to play. Their lives are at stake each time they hit the field. Does that mean football must be abolished? No. The fact remains injuries happen. One thing the NFL is trying to do is limit those injuries by imposing stiffer penalites for helmet to helmet hits. I don’t agree with every call, but I like the fact that the NFL is at least trying to make things safer. But as long as there are any physical sports, the potential for injury or death is there. You just can’t get around that fact.
