2011 Spring Training Phillies

Will the 2011 phillies be another bust?
just got finished hearing about the spring training game against the yankees and we got massacred. People say spring training doesnt matter but it looks like the same problems phillies had last year havent improved. We had a great pitching staff last year that did a phenomenal job, but thats not why we lost. our pitching was our strong point and this year we just strengthened it. but our weakness was our batting, and we weaken that losing werth. am i missing something here, or did we as a team just become worse? if we lost because of offense how do we win this year if our offense just got worse?I watch the phillies offense and they just dont seem hungry.
Hmm… define unsuccessful. Getting into NLCS and lost because the opposing team had superior pitching is not really unsuccessful.
Nationals, Pirates, some team have not get into the playoffs in decades that are what called unsuccessful.
I hate money market as much as anyone but calling teams unsuccessful because they don’t win World Series does not make any sense. I hardly think teams is trying to buy titles, they are investing and trying to play better and win that title. The money they invested only increase the chance they win because those money were paid to those proven, excellent players that can help the team.
Will the Phillies be another bust? Can you give me an example of a team was the original bust? If you are talking about how the Yankees, RedSox, Phillies lost their series in CS or DS game and call them a bust, I will say, oh please, they were proven to be one of the top team in their league. How is that not enough?
If you just simply expect spending money and think they will win World Series, it is hardly the case. I think the Phillies will not be a bust in the regular season but they need to be extra competitive to win post season series.
By the way, the Phillies was never a first half team, not to say this is only the spring training. They will score more runs later on in the season.
