2007 Mlb World Champions
With three weeks left in the MLB season, do you see the Chicago Cubs making the 2009 Playoffs? Why or why not?
In 2007 and 2008, the Chicago Cubs were Major League Baseball (MLB) National League Central Division Champions. With three weeks lett in the season, do you see the Cubs making the playoffs for a third consecutive year in a row either as the Central Division Champions or the Wild Card Winner? Why or why not?
I believe the Chicago Cubs have the potential of making the National League Wild Card as long as they win a majority of their games the other teams about them in the Wild Card race do not win as many games. If the Cubs make the 2009 postseason, I do see them winning the 2009 World Series.

Don’t see that happening this year. To win the Central Division they would have to pass St. Louis, the Cubs are 9.5 games back. And the Cardninals are on fire! I doubt they’re are going to lose alot of games before season ends.
Then in the NL wild card they are 7.5 games back but they would have to pass the braves, marlins, giants and rockies. The Cubs might pass some of these teams, but they won’t win enough, and the other wild card chaser won’t lose enough for the Cubs to get to first.
Still possible on a miracle…
