2007 Dustin Pedroia vs Ryan Braun
2008 Evan Longoria vs Geovanny Soto
Verlander. In 2006 the media had him as the next Steve Carlton
Braun. Media had him as the next Joe Morgan
Longoria. Media had him as the face of the no name Rays.
Not really bashing the media, however, they have a big influence when it comes to rookie exposure.
